 CAPTAIN JAMES T. KIRK

ACTOR: William Shatner

Captain James T. Kirk of the Starship Enterprise began his career as the youngest Fleet Captain to date, he was 34, and the first to bring his ship back intact after a five year mission.

Kirk is extremely independent, quite often bucking the system. He had the distinction of being involved in seventeen different temporal violations. A career record. Kirk quite often risked his reputation, his career, and his life in the pursuit of justice and fairness toward his fellow beings without regard for who, or what, they were. He was instrumental in peace negotiation between the Klingon Empire and The Federation.

Kirk fathered one son, David, whom Kirk did not know until he was an accomplished scientist. David’s life was tragically taken shortly after their first meeting.

Kirk was sucked into the Nexus while on the ceremonial christening of the USS Enterprise-B. He was listed as dead. However many years later Jean-Luc Picard convinced him to help save the universe once again. Kirk heroically gave his life there and was buried in a plain grave there on the planet Veridian III.

 MR. SPOCK

ACTOR: Leonard Nimoy

Spock, half human/half Vulcan, began his career aboard Enterprise as First officer under Captain James T. Kirk. His scientific expertise and keen insight made him an invaluable part of the Enterprise Crew, though his lack of emotion sometimes became tough for him as well as the humans he served with. He formed a deep friendship with the Captain through his years of service and things that he once knew of as very illogical now seemed to be becoming logical.

Spock formed a lasting friendship with the ships doctor, Leonard “Bones” McCoy, as well. Even as a semi-retired Captain Spock could be convinced to serve alongside Kirk whenever the need arose. This became very evident when Spock gave his knowledge and self - his katra - via mind meld to Bones before giving his life repairing plasma conduits in an effort to save the human crew of Enterprise. Spock’s body was sent to the Genesis planet where he was reborn as a child. His ‘katra’ was then happily returned to him by Bones in a fal-tor-par ritual.

Spock’s regenerated life took a more human turn thanks to the teachings of his mother. In his later years his work turned to the more diplomatic side. Serving as a liaison between the Federation and the Klingon Empire, Spock paved the way for the Khitomer Peace Accords.

 DOCTOR LEONARD H. McCOY

ACTOR: DeForest Kelley

Dr. Leonard McCoy serves as Chief Medical Officer on board Enterprise under the command of longtime friend James T. Kirk. Despite McCoy’s crass, argumentative exterior he is a soft spoken deeply felt southern gentleman devoted to his work and his crewmates.

His dry wit, sense of humor and psychological insight made him a pleasure to spend time with as did his taste for whiskey. His medical expertise, though appearing rudimentary and simple, was unmatched by any other doctor of his time. Always bent on “retiring to the good life” he was never able to say no to a challenge and went on to sit in an Admiral’s chair though surely complaining he was a doctor, not an Admiral.

 CHIEF ENGINEER MONTGOMERY SCOTT

ACTOR: James Doohan

Montgomery “Scotty” Scott began his career as an ensign, he landed the Chief Engineer position as a Lieutenant Commander aboard the Enterprise under the command of James T. Kirk.

Mr. Scott fast became a legend known as the “Miracle Worker“ for his quick thinking and sometime impossible engineering feats.

Scotty is an enthusiastic and energetic seemingly without a care in the world. He is given to playing the bagpipes, wearing ceremonial kilts with his dress uniform, drinking his mates under the table, and collecting alcoholic beverages from all over the galaxy.

He retired at the age of 72 after 52 years of Starfleet service.

 LIEUTENANT COMMANDER HIKARU SULU

ACTOR: George Takei

Hikaru Sulu served as the helm officer on the USS Enterprise on it‘s first mission beginning there as an astroscience physicist.

Sulu is a quiet man with many interests. He has a great love for martial arts, fencing, and antiques. He is an accomplished pilot in various antique vessels from many differing cultures.

He assumed command of his own vessel, Excelsior and began a three year mission near the Beta Quadrant. He was instrumental in saving the USS Enterprise from dissidents bent on destroying all hope for the Khitomer Peace Conference.

Mr. Sulu has one daughter, Demora, who attended Starfleet Academy and served as the first helm officer of the Excelsior-class USS Enterprise under the command of John Harriman.

 LIEUTENANT COMMANDER UHURA

ACTRESS: Nichelle Nichols

Uhura began her career as the Communications Officer on board the USS Enterprise.

Her talent with language communications made her a very necessary part of any Enterprise encounter. Uhura was both friendly and strong and quite often held the bridge together during a crisis.

After Enterprise was decommissioned Uhura was promoted to Lieutenant Commander, refit USS Enterprise under Captain Will Decker and was part of the V'ger mission.

She was assigned to Starfleet Academy cadet training and Starfleet Command communications and rose in the ranks to Commander. In 2285 she was back on board a stolen Enterprise for the rescue of the Genesis team. Uhura went on to oversee communications on the new USS Enterprise NCC-1701-A.

 LIEUTENANT PAVEL CHEKOV

ACTRESS: Walter Koenig

Chekov began his career as Navigator under James T. Kirk aboard the USS Enterprise, but rose to the rank of Lieutenant and the position of Security Chief on board the refit Enterprise.

His pride in his Russian heritage and his short fuse made him prone to heated actions and quick romantic attachments that became a ever present source of humor.

After the decommission of Enterprise Chekov was assigned to the USS Reliant and promoted to Commander and first officer to Captain Clark Terrell within a short period of time. Eventually however, he again found himself under the direction of Captain James. T. Kirk.
